From Hanoi to Plac Konstytucji
It all started with one family, a handful of recipes, and the belief that good food speaks for itself.
There was no business plan. Only recipes—the very ones passed down through generations in a Vietnamese household. And one core idea: if we cook the way we cook at home, people will taste the difference.
Our first restaurant opened in Kraków in the early 1990s, then Łódź—back when Asian cuisine was completely foreign in Poland. Behind the scenes of those early venues, we learned hospitality from the ground up. Three decades on—we're still cooking.
In 2015, we opened Wi-Taj at Constitution Square 4 in Warsaw—a cozy Vietnamese and Thai restaurant in the heart of Śródmieście. Without investors or a major budget, but backed by two decades of experience and a kitchen staffed from day one by authentic chefs from Vietnam and Thailand.
What began as a family dream grew into one of Warsaw’s most frequented Asian dining spots. Not by chasing trends, but by remaining true to where we come from.
Wi-Taj remains a family business to this day. We personally ensure every detail is right—from choosing ingredients to the flavor of every Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai served. Our Vietnamese and Thai chefs cook guided by the authentic flavors of their childhood.
And we still believe in the same core truth: the best restaurant is one that makes you feel right at home.

Our menu is a culinary journey through two of Southeast Asia's most flavorful countries. Each dish is made with ingredients directly imported from Vietnam and Thailand—from curry pastes and fish sauce to fresh lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and galangal.

We offer several options—with Black Tiger prawns, chicken, beef, or a vegetarian version with tofu. Every serving features a finely tuned balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy—the four key flavors that define authentic Thai food.
Why does our Pad Thai taste different? We make our tamarind sauce from real tamarind, not ready-made pastes. We stir-fry our rice noodles in a wok at the exact right temperature so they remain crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. You can taste the difference from the very first bite.
